Bluefish444 Announces RESTful API Support for IngeSTore Software
Scalable, remote control of IngeSTore Server 3G and the IngeSTore software
North Melbourne, Australia, August 16, 2018 – Bluefish444, manufacturer of the professional video industry’s highest-quality uncompressed 4K SDI, ASI, Video Over IP & HDMI I/O cards and mini converters, announces forthcoming RESTful API support for its multi-channel capture software, IngeSTore.
Bluefish444 have been working closely with industry partners on remote control functionality for its IngeSTore software, and will demonstrate this greatly anticipated feature for the first time at IBC Show 2018. The demonstration will show how the IngeSTore Server 3G can be controlled from another system via the RESTful API, allowing customers and 3rd parties to easily customise IngeSTore and its user interface to integrate within their existing ecosystem.
IngeSTore is Bluefish444’s complimentary multi-channel ingest tool, capable of capturing files into a range of formats, including uncompressed SDI and free DVCPRO codecs, with 10-bit DNxHD, ProRes, H.264, Sony XDCAM, AVC-Intra and an optional JPEG 2000 codec available via the BlueCodecPacklicence. The new API support will let customers and 3rd parties not only control their capture machine remotely, but also create an interface to their own specifications, and enhance the existing functionality of IngeSTore to their needs, including control of multiple IngeStore capture devices from within a single application.
“Bluefish444 customers using IngeSTore software have consistently requested greater flexibility and customisation of the application, including remote access of the software or server,” said Tom Lithgow, Bluefish444 Product Manager. “The Bluefish444 IngeSTore REST interface will give customers not only the ability to make a custom controller for IngeSTore, but also allow them to add specific functionality not provided by the standard IngeSTore user interface.”
